The sound of waves crashing on the shore echoes across the four-kilometer stretch of Boracay’s beach. In contrast, deep inside the island, the noise of construction and demolition reverberates. It isn’t business as usual in Boracay. It hasn’t been since April 26th. The world famous island is under construction. It’s a paradise island
turned cesspool according to President Rodrigo Duterte, himself.

Four months and counting, is Boracay ready to get back on its feet?

The timeless

beauty of boracay

Change is inevitable and it is not always a bad thing. Boracay was once called the "treasure island" for its white sand and peaceful environment. Regardless of the change, the island is still a breathtaking paradise which tourists travel for.

Boracay offers recreational activities and the best stress relievers that would help you relax from all the stress you’ve been feeling.

ABOUT US and mission

Boom Boom Boracay is a group that aims to bring awareness on the environmental needs of the Boracay island. The shut-down is an event that will go down in Philippine history as both a warning to care for the environment and a revelation of how badly-treated the environment is. With the 6-month shut-down, it just goes to show how deep the scars are from mistreating the beauty of Boracay. With the soft-opening coming soon, we aim to show awareness about this event and update the public on the current situation of the beautiful island.

Once known as “the beach capital of the Philippines”, Boracay is at a decline when it comes to its livability and tourist attraction. What’s more, it has been branded as a “cesspool” by the Philippine president himself, and it hurts to admit that it’s true. The situation of boracay has gotten extremely out of hand, and only the public can turn this situation around. So, let this tragic event serve as a reminder to take care of the environment. Let us help preserve nature’s beauty while simultaneously enjoying Mother Nature’s gift to us.
